Fresh off of her historic Grammy win, making her the first solo female recipient of the Album of the Year title, Cardi B has once again teamed up with hit machine Bruno Mars for “Please Me.”

The “Money” rapper took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce the release, ending her hiatus from the platform, “Ok so I’m back from retirement to announce I have a brand new song coming out Friday at midnight with @brunomars,” she wrote in a caption that included the hashtag “#twogrammywinningartist.” The note is a nod to Mars, who has earned multiple gramophone trophies since 2011, including for 2018’s Album of the Year 24K Magic.

The Warner Music-released track is very much like the pair’s previous effort “Finesse” but takes on a much more seductive tone as the Bronx Native sings, “I’m gonna ride it, do it just how you like it/Tonight and after that/Let’s do it one more time,” before the 33-year-old vocalist chimes in with a response, “Girl, I ain’t one for beggin’, but now you got me beggin’.” The vocals all take place in conjunction with instrumentation that serves to amplify the raunchy vibe of the song.
