Following their previous #28* Power Pick and #21* Power Pick Billboard Dance Club Songs chart positions, CamelPhat‘s collaboration with Jake Bugg “Be Someone” glides effortless to #12* five weeks since formal PRO MOTION-al release.

The almost-ambient track released on Columbia Records sees the British duo of Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala creating a song with a deep House message. Droning synths coupled with an entrancing 4 on-the-floor tempo and melody enhance Jake Bugg’s lyrics “When you’re dressing up/Still it’s not enough/Who you tryna impress man/Needy for some love/Here to be someone/Tryna be someone” sings the English singer/songwriter to those who are putting up a facade. In addition to the original radio version, the act’s extended vocal and dub dub take the best of “Be Someone” to create a fresh rendition that plays int the hands of domestic and international club deejays.
