Calvin Harris and the remake of his 2009 classic “I’m Not Alone” have made significant strides in the past few weeks in order earn its current position at #5 Billboard Dance Club Songs chart position. The effort follows the world-renowned deejay/remixer/producer/artist’s recent survey-topping #1* efforts “One Kiss” featuring Dua Lipa, “Promises” featuring Sam Smith, and March’s “Giant” with Rag ‘N’ Bone Man.

What makes the 2019 Ultra/Columbia Records released version different from its decade-old original, is the revamped production that puts renewed focus on the instrumentation rather than vocal content. While the original lyrics have been significantly shaved down, there are still moments that include the now iconic content, “If I see a light flashing, could this mean that I’m coming home?/If I see a man waving, does this mean that I’m not alone?”

As part of the initial offering renewed club culture support comes in the form of remixes by UK DJ duo (and fellow Columbia Records artist) Camelphat as well as Thomas Schumacher, who put their own twists on “I’m Not Alone. Listen to the 2019 remake of the 2009 Calvin Harris classic which holds this week’s solid Top5 Billboard dance chart position below.
