Calvin Harris will return to the decks, following a car crash which forced him to cancel two live shows over the weekend.

Calvin Harris, real name Adam Wiles, was being driven to Los Angeles’ LAX airport in a Cadillac Escalade when a Volkswagen Beetle convertible driven by a 16-year-old girl crossed the centerline and crashed into his vehicle, reported by TMZ.

The 32 year old producer was forced to cancel a performance at Las Vegas nightclub Omnia last Friday (May 20) and his headline slot at Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama the following day after receiving a laceration to his face.

Harris was advised by his doctor to take several days off following the accident, but is now expected to resume his DJ residency at Las Vegas nightclub Hakkasan this Thursday (May 26).

A spokeswoman for Harris said: “Adam was examined by doctors and sustained a number of injuries. He has been advised to rest for a few days. He has since been checked out of hospital and is now recovering. We wish all the other passengers involved in the incident a fast recovery.”

Calvin Harris and Rihanna released their collaboration single ‘This Is What You Came For’ in April, which peaked at No. 9 the Billboard Hot 100.
