As originally reported by TMZ, they said that the Mississippi native had made up her mind about never taking the stage, but her manager, Larry Rudolph, clarified the situation: “Other media sources seem to be picking up my quotes to TMZ as implying that Britney will never work again. That’s not what I said,” he mentioned in a statement. “I simply said that the Vegas residency is now officially off and that she hasn’t called me in months to talk about doing anything so I’m not sure if or when she will ever want to work again. It’s that simple.”
Spears’ Las Vegas Domination residency at the Park Theater was slated to kick off on February 13th but was unexpectedly canceled on January 4th amid reports that the singer was taking time off to be with her ailing father, who suffered a ruptured colon in late 2018. Rudolph elaborated on this situation saying, “From what I have gathered it’s clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again.”
While it is now clear that Spears will not be returning to the long-planned event, it does not rule out upcoming opportunities. Stay tuned for more news regarding Britney Spears and possible live shows.
