Brad Paisley‘s first release of 2020 aims to bring people together with “No I In Beer.”
Set to a party-friendly country groove, his first single of the year features plenty of flashy Paisley guitar licks coupled with a healthy dose of pedal steel. Though the song was written by him and Kelley Lovelace back in 2018, the tune didn’t strike the right chord until now, when people all around the world are urged to social distance and connect with each other via technology – as seen in the official video.
“If we’ve ever felt unified as Americans,” Paisley said in a release, “as citizens of the world, it’s in the fact that nobody loves what we’re going through, but everybody’s willing to do what we have to do. One of those things is, let’s be a team.” Watch the official video below, featuring fans and fellow musicians alike.
In other country music-related news, while Taylor Swift has strayed from her roots quite a bit in past years to pursue a more Pop tone, she’s attracted massive attention with “Cardigan”, the first video from her new album. While many question her ability to bring a creative team together for a shoot during the pandemic, the “Love Story” artist explained “The entire shoot was overseen by a medical inspector, everyone wore masks, stayed away from each other, and I even did my own hair, makeup, and styling,” in an Instagram caption about the video.
