Following many a monster collaboration and remix with and for other artists, Boston Bun secures this week’s #47* Debut Billboard Dance Club Songs chart position with this solo single, “Don’t Wanna Dance”

The Island Records-released recording reminds listeners of a simpler time with its piano, tambourine and vocal samples that open up with a four-on-the-floor kick and classic Disco House feel. “Please don’t try to take me by the hand/I already told you that you weren’t my man/I don’t mean this you blew your last chance/Pretty baby I don’t wanna dance” is sung in Gospel-inspired style that adds the right amount of swagger to the overall production.

Heavily influenced by EDM power houses Jax Jones and international pop hit-maker Mark Ronson, the French DJ/producer’s “Don’t Wanna Dance” resembles the work of an established musician rather than a first try attempt. And taking inspiration from fellow countrymen Justice and Mr. Oizo, Boston Bun’s uptempo effort could easily be the first of many dance floor heaters. Listen to this week’s #47* single below.
