Today (Feb. 1) Blondie announced their 11th studio album entitled Pollinator slated for a May 5th drop via BMG.

The highly anticipated LP produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Sleater-Kinney, Swans) will feature contributions from TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, Sia, Charli XCX, Laurie Anderson, Blood Orange’s Devonté Hynes, Joan Jett, former Smiths and Modest Mouse guitarist Johnny Marr and Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi.

Original members, singer Debbie Harry, guitarist Chris Stein, drummer Clem Burke join Sitek on lead single “Fun.”

The sleek disco-funk tune, channels the group’s sonic artistry crafted around pulsating electronic ripples. The final result is a legal rush we can all enjoy.

“You’re my fun when I’m down / You pick me up again, you pick me up again / You’re my fun too, much fun / I get the feeling that you’re changing my mind,” Harry sings in the uplifting chorus.

In a statement, Stein said of their new record, “Quoting Emma Goldman, ‘If I can’t dance I don’t want to be part of your revolution.’ In these trying times we need some fun.” Harry added, “We’re very serious about fun.”
