BBC Worldwide France has the released the trailer of the first ever documentary on Daft Punk, the pop culture phenomenon who changed the face of dance music two decades ago. Directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre, the ‘Daft Punk Unchained’ film includes participation from music industry icons’ Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Kanye West and others.
The European motion picture covers the story of Daft Punk, from their humble beginnings as a school band in Paris to their Coachella debut and their guest appearance at the 2013 Grammy Awards. The masked duo – aka Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo – have created unrivaled mystery, changing the way people perceive the act and their music.
The documentary includes rare footage of DP, their friends, and other artists they’ve worked with but no specific date has been mentioned regarding it’s North American release.
