Aziz Ansari has been added to the lengthy list of Hollywood A-listers and award winners to be accused of sexual misconduct.
The story was once again sparked by the actor and comedian wearing the “Time’s Up” pin at the Golden Globes, and accepting an award while doing so. The alleged victim, a 23-year-old photographer from New York, said that a date she went on with Ansari last year left her feeling “violated.”
According to the accuser, “Grace” (a pseudonym), the star of Master of None had made her feel “uneasy” and that he had ignored her “clear non-verbal clues” during their sexual encounter in Ansari’s apartment following a date they had back in September of 2017. She made that statement to Ansari in a text conversation the next day, to which he privately replied, “Clearly, I misread things in the moment and I’m truly sorry.” No more came of the incident until the Golden Globes.
Since the story broke on Babe.net, Aziz Ansari made a statement regarding the encounter:

So far, no legal action has been taken against the comedian, and nothing has been announced regarding Master of None‘s third season.
