It was hard for most EDM fans to hear about Avicii‘s death, but the news hit a lot harder for his friends. Director Levan Tsikurishvili holds memories of his close companion very dear, and because he spent years filming his friend, he can easily share those moments with the late musician’s millions of admirers.

The recently-dropped “Heaven” itself features vocals from Coldplay front man Chris Martin, who sings “We gon’ be birds and fly/We’re gonna set the world alight/We’re gonna lose ourselves tonight/Whoa, in heaven/Heaven.” The lyrics go hand-in-hand with the typical “Avicii” production to create a powerful message.

The Universal Music-released recording brings everyone just a little closer to the Swedish icon with the addition of an intimate music video. Tsikurishvili and his friend visited the African island of Madagascar in 2016, soon after the DJ gave his final performance in Ibiza. After his posthumous album TIM was released earlier this month, Tsikurishvili returned to recapture the places and things from the memories he made just years prior. The old vacation footage and new shots were compiled into a touching music video in honor of the beloved producer. See the emotional film below.
