After teasing fans with tidbits about her upcoming album, and even creating a countdown on her website to when new music would arrive, Ariana Grande has unveiled her latest tune, “positions.”
Coming courtesy of Republic/Universal Music, the song finds itself toying with R&B layered over a trap beat yet again, in quite the same fashion as she did on cuts from 2019’s Thank U, Next. The lead single features Grande sounding at-home as she floats on a repeated string lick that, as her lyrics suggest, might just be “too good to be true.”
“Positions” also comes with an official video that sees the superstar songstress acting as president of the United States, flipping from high-level meetings to the Oval Office and more. Toward the end, Grande switches it up and finds her way into a kitchen, cooking up what are presumed to be tasty treats. Listen to and watch the official video for Ariana Grande’s newest track, “positions,” here.
Ariana Grande’s next album, that is still yet to be named, will arrive on October 30th.
