Diana Ross scores the Hot Shot Debut on Billboard‘s Dance Club Songs chart, as “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” catapults onto the list (dated Nov. 25).
Remixed by Eric Kupper and Joe Gauthreaux, the iconic ’70s classic vaults from last week’s #2 Breakout onto the Top 50 chart’s highest entry at #38*. The Motown Queen’s remix appears on Diamond Diana: The Legacy Collection which was released today on all digital retailers. The compilation boasts all of Ross’ hit repertoire including “I’m Coming Out,” “Upside Down,” and “You Can’t Hurry Love,” among others.
The American Music Awards return to Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater this Sunday where Ms. Ross has been named this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, the show’s producers announced on Monday. Diana is a seven-time American Music Awards winner and hosted the show in both 1986 and 1987. The award will recognize Ross’ artistic contributions to the entertainment industry and popular culture.
The 2017 American Music Awards airs live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
