Adele just debuted a new music video last night at The Billboard Music Awards

After making an announcement earlier this month, Adele has debuted the music video for her latest single “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” at the Billboard Music Awards last night (May 22). The third single off her successful album 25, the video features the British singer in a Dolce & Gabanna dress laced with flora patterns and giant roses where she elegantly sings and performs choreography. Adele made the announcement before performing the song in Stockholm, where she revealed she’ll be showing off her dancing skills as well.

“And I just did my video for it, I know, I did one single and I’m like ‘Thanks, bye. See you in ten years.’ I did want to do one for ‘When We Were Young’ — and we had an idea for it, but we couldn’t get it right and I was like ‘I can’t do any old video for ‘When We Were Young.’ Because that’s like my favorite song I’ve ever written. But for this one we’ve got a really cool video, we did it on Monday…And you’ll not believe it, but I’m DANCING in it. Can you believe it? Lost all of my inhibitions. It was actually really fun, I’ve this great — actually I’m not going to give it all away because someone is probably filming this.”

“Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” is directed by Patrick Duahgters, who shot the video in London and is known for his work with artists as Depeche Mode and Interpol. In addition to debuting the video, Adele took eight awards last night, including Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, and Top Selling Song. “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” is the third single off of 25, which was released on November 20, 2015. Upon its debut, the album shipped an unprecedented 3.6 million copies domestically, an impressive feat for an artist in the digital age of music. This was the most amount since NSYNC‘s No Strings Attached released in 2000, which shipped 4.2 million. Be sure to pick up your copy of 25 on iTunes and check out the music video below.
