Adele was a guest on the “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” today. In addition to performing 25‘s “When We Were Young” and “All I Ask,” recording a “Hello” themed voicemail message for DeGeneres, and taking part in a hidden-camera prank at Jamba Juice, she fully disclosed the technical issues that flawed her Grammy performance and her reaction to them.
“Sound check was great. Went really well. I was really excited. And then during the changeover, the microphones fell onto the piano strings which is what the guitar noise was,” she explained. “Some people thought it was Justin Bieber rehearsing, but it wasn’t him. We’re on great terms. And then it kind of put the whole thing off really.”
Ms. Adkins also admitted she was embarrassed following the Grammy aftermath and “cried pretty much all day.” While speaking to Ellen, she was actually all smiles and even let out a few of her trademark giggles.
