Adele canceled her concerts planned for this past Saturday and Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London, England, due to damaged vocal cords.
She said in an announcement to her fans on Friday, “to say I’m heart broken would be a complete understatement.”
In her Instagram post, the singer explained that she had “struggled vocally” during her shows at Wembley on Wednesday and Thursday nights. “I had to push a lot harder than I normally do. I feel like I constantly had to clear my throat.” She has officially been medically advised to stop performing.
These canceled shows were the last two on her massive 120+ concert tour and Adele does not have information about the concerts being rescheduled. If they cannot be rescheduled, she said refunds would available.
Could this really be the end of her touring career? We’ll see.
